On February 22 we had the opportunity to hear Rev. Dr. Karen Taliesin speak to us on living our values despite many challenges in situations with which we are faced in our daily lives. She is a chaplain at Seattle Children's Hospital and works with families of many faiths. She encouraged us to live our faith through "fierce compassion". If we are firmly grounded in our faith we can better relate with others in a right relationship, even though our values may be different. Keeping an open heart and dealing with others in a spirit of love will allow us to meet challenges.
