SPEAKING OF ‘LOVE’
REV. BRUCE BODE
“Love” is, indeed, “a many splendored thing” … particularly in the English language where it is used as an umbrella word to cover our positive feelings towards everything from our links to inanimate objects to our most intimate human relationships. This sermon will attempt to distinguish some of our different types of love, with a special look, on this Sunday prior to Valentine’s Day, at “romantic love.”
Bruce A. Bode, a native of Lynden, Washington, is in his fourteenth and final year as the minister of the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Port Townsend, Washington. He and his congregation have been faithful supporters of PUUF since its inception. An incidental note: he and Flossie Bode are grandparents to two-year old Clara Grace Bode-Lang, "one of this planet’s loveliest creatures," according to her devoted grandfather.
