Dear Members and Friends;
Last Tuesday your elected board held the first board meeting since the Annual Meeting. Part of the business was to choose officers with these results:
President: Judy Arbogast
Vice-President: Gary Culbertson
Secretary: Beth Allen
Treasurer: Gail Sandlin
Hobie Denny and Ellie Qlauminzer round out the board.
Judy, Ellie, and Hobie will be in contact with the Pacific Northwest Regional UUA to get clarification on our Emerging Congregation status and what it means as we go forward.
Share, Gail, and I are eager to share our impressions and some of our learnings from GA with you in the coming months. In the meantime some of the services and sessions are being posted online at http://www.uua.org/ga. I participated in a session around new ministries along with Rev. Tandi Rogers, Rev. Annie Gonzales Milliken, Rev. Nathan Hollister (Sacred Fire), Rev. John Moorhouse (spiritual communities), and Erin (Chicago Chalice Connections).This presentation will also be on line (perhaps by Sept.)
One of the themes at GA we repeatedly heard mentioned was Beloved Community. I welcome you to share with me your ideas of what we in PUUF can do to enrich and expand our group to become a more beloved community. Contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org or at 253-225-1977 to share your thoughts, ideas, needs, and visions for the future.
I hope to see many of you at the campout July 25 and/or 26th at Scenic Beach State Park in Seabeck. For those not interested in camping, the Sunday service (in the group day picnic area) will be at 10 am followed by a pot luck lunch. All from PUUF are welcome to join us.
